BRIEN D. WARD has been engaged in the practice of law in the areas of ERISA, benefits and executive compensation matters since 1987 and has extensive experience in these areas, which include retirement and welfare plans, mergers and acquisitions, Title IV of ERISA, PBGC issues, multiemployer plans, withdrawal liability, equity compensation arrangements, non-qualified deferred compensation, employee fringe benefits, investment funds, plan assets, exempt-organizations, severance arrangements, employment agreements, 409A, fiduciary and trust matters, ERISA conflicts of interest issues, prohibited transactions, insurance, service provider agreements, plan investments, plan design and administration, US and non-US compliance issues, ERISA claims, appeals and litigation, controlled group issues, corporate and other transactions, LDI issues, plan termination and mergers, IRS/DOL filings, reporting and disclosure and state law issues.
